I have had chest pain for months now..it actually started 2 yrs ago. I had phemonia..been getting it every year. I stopped smoking stopped drinking caffeine..thought I was always having a heart attack. It goes in to my back and my ribs feel like they r going up into my breast..I've had xrays. The pain just never goes away..it feels so tight and heavy..I've been back to hospital/dr. So many times. I have got no answers..This has caused depression for me..hope urs has got better!

I have had that problem for a while. Was diagnosed with Costeocondritis, (inflammation of cartilage surrounding heart) plus I am now experiencing hyper-tension and doctor has issued medication. I believe the pain throughout my body encourages hyper-tension diagnosis.

Sometimes it hurts to breathe and the pain goes to my back where my lungs are

I haven't had the chest pains since I added mucinex 300 mg twice a day. The mucinex has also opened my ear canals and cleared my nasal passages up. It's not a cure all so far, but I'm on my 4th week of taking it and little by little my symptoms have eased up.
