Members shared their varied experiences with foot pain related to fibromyalgia, describing sensations ranging from throbbing and shooting pain to electric burning and a feeling like skin being ripped off. Several members found relief in understanding their symptoms, with one discovering their pain was actually neuropathy after a quick in-office test with a neurologist, which helped rule out other causes and reduced their anxiety about unexplained symptoms. A recurring theme was the challenge of managing chronic pain when doctors are hesitant to prescribe medication, balanced by the comfort of knowing symptoms can come and go and that staying calm helps with acceptance.

Yes, I’ve been getting that horrible almost electric burning from the bottom of my feet. Not sure what t do about it. Doctors are so paranoid about prescribing pain meds.

The worst part is for years I didn’t connect this to fibro
Less anxiety now as things come and go
Just “kind of” deal with it,try to keep calm. ❤️

What was the test called exactly?

I have this and found out it is neuropathy which my neurologist did the test right in his office. I had it in my feet and then found later on to have it in my legs and forearms as well. I would check with your neurologist and rule it in or out. It does not take long for the test and they can tell that same day right then and there. I was so glad I had the test done to rule it in or out because no one else was finding out what was wrong with these symptoms I was telling them I had.
