I woke up with very painful teeth. I could feel pain in every tooth down into the roots and in the jaw. Yes i have TMJ but have never felt this before. My teeth were horribly sensitive to hot and cold. Visually i see no damage to my teeth. Has anyone experienced this or is it one of the many many symptoms of a flare?

Members overwhelmingly validated the experience of nerve tooth pain during fibromyalgia flares, with many describing similar jaw clenching, tooth sensitivity, and TMJ symptoms that worsen during flare-ups. Several members shared practical strategies including wearing a custom nightguard to prevent teeth grinding, using electric toothbrushes with small heads, switching to Sensodyne ProNamel toothpaste for sensitivity, getting dental cleanings 3-4 times yearly to combat fibro-related tartar buildup, and trying colloidal silver rinses to reduce tooth pain and decay. A recurring theme was the painful reality of fibro-related tooth loss, with members describing cracked teeth, unnecessary extractions due to misdiagnosed pain, and the importance of understanding that nerve pain can radiate throughout the mouth even when no specific tooth is damaged.

That's a good idea about the night guard Darla. I used to wear one year's ago and stoped. I have lost molars too. I have 3 implants. Do you think the teeth grinding have anything to do with tmj? It would make sense.
