Has anyone tried to follow the Keto diet? I tried it for 6 days . I was so extremely weak and it sent my fibro in such a flare even though I was replacing the electrolytes I was loosing. Has anyone had a similar experience?

My husband is on the keto and it has helped him tremendously. Granted he doesn’t have fibro, but he has lost a lot of weight and helped his digestive issues. I’m tempted to try it too. I think you feel what is called the “keto flu” it lasts about a eeek or two but once you get over that hump you feel better.

I have followed a keto diet, and although it works wonders for weight loss, it seems to exacerbate my fibro symptoms, so I would rather recommend an anti-inflammatory diet. My symptoms are hugely relieved when I eat that way and I lose weight just as easily. I also had amazing results from following the Daniel Fast. The biggest challenge for me is making it a way of life rather than treating it like a diet....
Good luck and I hope you find what works for you :)

The withdrawls from a grain based diet do feel like the flu. I eat a Paleo/Keto diet and went off the wagon for over a year. Getting back on, I felt miserable until my body went through the detox cycle.

My mom keeps recommending it to me and she also told me to try an all red meat diet, she heard somewhere it helped. Um, research says otherwise. Anyhow, dieting doesn't work for me because it has to be a life change and I just can't do that with my family eating other things. I am not making two dinners every day. I also realized dieting hasn't helped my pain in the past. Of course, overdoing sugar makes me feel worse, but white rice and all that other stuff hasn't affected me. We are all different, it may help you, but don't despair if you don't do it. :)

It was suggested to me to try it but I haven't done it yet.
I hope you feel better!
