What you describe definitely sounds like fibromyalgia. I am on Gabapentin for it. They first tried Plaquenil but it did not work as well as it is bad for your eyes. I am so sorry to hear you got hit by a truck and this started your symptoms which fibro usually does start after a traumatic event. I would see if you can see a rheumatologist. I find this site very helpful. I always say we all have a lot in common but no two of us are the same.

If you have the required number of touchpoints, in the right places, it can be Fibromyalgia. If you do not meet those requirements, it can't be Fibromyalgia. Lyme disease mimics a lot of Fibro's symptoms, and it's possible to have both.

I was in a pretty nasty car accident 2 months after I began to have sharp pains on the top of my head and at my down under I really just ignored it. Then a couple weeks go by and I have the feeling of bugs crawling on my feet then just randomly on my body. Went to see Dr's assistants many times in the next 5 months and did lice treatments and permithian treatments all prescribed to me and other things not prescribed finally got in to see Dr during month 6. He said it's a form of fibromyalgia he prescribe Gabapentin have been on this for almost a year now it is not a mirical drug nor a cure because my symptoms have started to progress. I'm now looking into LDN. Just wanted to hopefully save you from doing unnecessary damage to your skin. Pray this all goes away for you.

Yes it sounds like fibro especially since the symptoms came on right after the accident. Try to find a good doctor that treats fibromyalgia for a diagnosis so you don’t spend years going from doctor to doctor trying to find out if it is or isn’t.
