Members shared a range of alternative pain management strategies in response to someone hesitant about taking opiates, with medical marijuana (including tinctures and vaping), CBD products, and Tramadol emerging as the most commonly mentioned options that have provided relief. Several members expressed concern about addiction risk given personal or family history, with some choosing to avoid opioids entirely despite severe pain, while others found Tramadol to be helpful and less concerning than stronger opiates. A recurring theme was the importance of personalized approaches, including lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, stress management, massage, and rest, as well as open communication with doctors about individual risk factors and treatment preferences.

Im currently taking Tramadol as well. It seems to help better than the opioids.

Medical marijuana helps me the most with my pain. I use tinctures and occasionally vape it so I'm not damaging my lungs.
