Have you had a MRI of your hip? A symptom of a hip issue is groin pain, and also, back issues may cause groin issues too.
I have groin pain in right leg. Hurts to walk up steps. Can't pick my leg up well while lying on my back. MRI in 2015 showed bursitis. Taking meloxicam for the pain and just to make it through the day.
I do, a sharp pain shoots through my groin/pelvic area and even into my legs and heels several times a day. I have severe back pain too so I know it is radiating pain from my back. I have several appointments coming up to get it checked out.
I get that one the back of my legs and knees. The pain is unbearable. I have heard walking makes it better. But what if you can't even walk? Hope your feeling better soon!

I would be demanding that the Doctor run some tests or find another Doctor that will better to have some tests in case you have appendicitis or gallstones.
All these things can give you both groin pain and back pain please seek medical help from a competent Doctor.
You are in my Thoughts and Prayers that you will find out what is causing the problem.
