I was diagnosed 2 years ago and not had a lot of medical help and advise. Used this app and has been brilliant. Don't know how i would get to see a neurologist. Maybe it could help to get advice from a neurologist. That's the issue the side affects with medication can be worse. Maybe pain management can refer me. Thankyou for the advice 😊
Yes I gained weight from it andit wasn't helping my pain so my neurologist stopped it.
Well, I recently went off pregabalin cause I wanted to lose weight for my sons wedding and had read about everyone gaining weight with it! I didn’t think it was really helping at all either but boy was I wrong!! By the time I had weened myself down to none, the pain was so bad but I also put the pain down to the time of year as I live in Canada and our winters can be harsh! Anyway, I couldn’t take the pain anymore and went back on it this past week! It has helped already and I’ve now changed my attitude! I’d rather be fat at my sons wedding and hopefully able to stay than to lose ten pounds but have to go home even before the dinner! If it helps you, take it cause everyone is different!!
I can only speak to my experience, I gained weight with the whole class of drugs that Lyrica is in, but that wasn’t the worst side effect in my view. I had trouble with dizziness and blurred vision with gabapentin too.Now let’s be serious. These drugs took the pain away completely. But I also had huge numb patches. In the end I couldn’t cope with those numb patches, I would rather seek out a new solution. Just one person’s two cents. 🥈🥈 Jan
I was on Lyrica a couple of years ago for about 3 months and put on 10 lbs.
