That's how I feel when they tried me on Prozac awhile ago. I was so reluctant to try anything else but the symptoms were making me depressed so I did try Cymbalta but I only took one of the pills inside the capsule (for the smallest dose). That seemed to help a little with the depression but did nothing for all the weird nerve sensations I get. I take my vitamins every day and that helps some. I just don't think there's ever going to be a magic pill for Fibro. Amber, I know like me, you tend to find yourself drinking the pain away. Not sure how much you are drinking but to be 100% honest, I have been drinking way too much as a way to cope. I can admit that and I have decided I need to cut the wine out and other things because it's just a band aid. I know it's hard to deal with all the millions of issues fibro seems to cause. I feel like an entire year of my life has been stolen from me...literally. I hope you find some relief soon and I am so sorry you're going through this. I truly am. No one deserves to have chronic illnesses.

Yes. I have had it twice. Per my doctor, probably more than that. Serotonin syndrome is very serious and can be fatal. Just read an article of a 35 year old man dying from it. He was taking an antidepressant and took some cough/cold syrup and died. He felt bad for a couple of days before and thought it was the flu. Please stop the medications and contact your doctor. My doctor had never seen it in his career, until he prescribed me two medications together. I had it for about a week the first time because he took me off of one of the medivatuons and put me on another similar one. I wasn't getting better and he obviously didn't do great research. I had to do my own research and help educate him. There are a lot of medications on the the do not take list. There are also herbs/vitamins that you should not take. St. Johns wart, ginger, etc... I had the tremors so bad I couldn't go to work. I would try to talk and it made it worse. I couldn't hold a cup or glass without spilling it. It was terrible. I slept a lot. That seemed to be the only thing that helped. If you have been on any of the medications for a while, contact your doctor about weaning off of them. Good luck and I hope you feel better. Also, look up the list of medications for SS. You will need to avoid them in the future. When I had surgery, they gave me a smaller dose of fentanyl. And I occasionally have to use cold medications. I will not ever take antidepressants again though. I was taking some for sleep, fibro and RA. I really did feel better in the paxil. Hate I can't take it.

Wow! You should call the pharmacy. I just wrote a post about my experience with Cymbalta. If you can handle it I would search for another alternative. This drug may help with pain but it messes with many things and is extremely hard to get off of!

Cymbalta did that to me!!
I think I STILL have serotonin imbalance from it that's lingering because I still get really random VERY dilated pupils.
