Members shared creative strategies for managing boredom while bed or couch-bound due to chronic pain, with popular suggestions including diamond painting, adult coloring books, word searches, needlepoint, crochet, knitting, phone games like Toy Blast, streaming services like Netflix and Hulu, writing, and organizing digital recipe collections. Several members emphasized the therapeutic role of pets, describing how dogs and horses provide companionship, distraction from pain, emotional comfort, and even motivation to get out of bed on difficult days. A recurring theme was finding activities that keep the mind engaged and hands busy to help pass time and shift focus away from pain.

I'm not stuck in bed but I am stuck in a recliner for most of the day and I get bored a lot but I read a lot and I have netflix and hulu, I try to rotate what I'm watching, sometimes I'll switch up and watch movies. I also nap a lot.

Rizzo, the bi black Sheltie puppy. Each one helps. I talk to them, they're expert cuddlers and can keep me warm.

I knit even if my hands hurt... Time goes by quicker. Or I'll snuggle with the dogs. They help me sleep. My sweet Riley girl. She never leaves my side.
