Yes I have been told this. I cannot tolerate bright light, loud noise and I have super smell! I believe there is a link to fibro.
I think that most of us have been in pain most of our lives.That makes us more preseptive, tolerant and caring people.
It does appear that many already 'sensitive' people go on to develop fibro, or other pain and fatigue syndroms. It seems our resistance to, and our recovery from all kinds of stresses, doesn't work as well as it should. But, there are also some good things that sensitivity gives us.
Hi Jody, Rebecca. Were you told about sps around the same time as a fibro diagnosis, or did you know you were highly sensitive before that?
Yes this is me. I have a book on the highly sensitive person that made me understand that I am not crazy but actually normal for some of the population.
