I was told the same thing by my Kaiser docs, but found the info online and it is very credible and research backed. The test is expensive if insurance won't cover it, but if you test positive, they offer free genetic testing and I believe you have a chance at participating in their FDA approved vaccine trial study. This study uses a version of the tuberculosis vaccine, which they are hoping will reverse Fibro. Their research backs the idea that Fibro is actually an immune deficiency disease that has clear biological markers. As I have been totally dismissed by anyone but naturopathics docs, this gives me a lot of hope. You can Google it under FM/A test.
