For the last few months I’ve developed an unrelenting shooting hip pain in my left hip only. My left side is my side that constantly gives me trouble to begin with but this shooting pain is get worse. I used to feel it only when sitting but now I feeling it when laying down too. It’s not along my butt but literally running right down my hip. It’s not a sore muscle feeling but definitely nerve related. Anyone get a shooting pain in their hip?

Members connected over the shared experience of shooting hip pain, with many describing similar nerve-like sensations primarily on the left side, though some also experience pain on the right or in their knees. Several members shared practical strategies for relief, including physical therapy exercises like wall leans and pelvic tilts, alternating heat and ice packs, warm Epsom salt baths, CBD lotion, and taking Flexeril for sleep. A recurring theme was frustration with the unpredictability of fibromyalgia symptoms and the feeling that doctors may not fully understand the condition, but the community offered prayers and mutual support for one another.

The shooting pain is new-ish to me but just another thing to add to my growing list. All on my left side too. So much for fibro being equal on both side. I dont think anyone knows what fibro is unless you’re living the nightmare day in and day out. Im just going to say some prayers for all of us tonight. Just one giant prayer.

Yes! Iv jst been to c a physio for my hip pain and numbness he said its a nerve! Got some excercises to do to try and releive pressure on the nerve and have to go back in a month. He told me stand sideways about an inch or 2 away from the wall and keeping my feet where they are lean my shoulder on the wall then just gently push my hip in till it touches the wall do it on both sides. Also to stand and gently push my pelvis forward hold for 5 secs and repeat. Hope u get it sorted xxx
