As your Fibro progresses, keeping any part of your body still for too long will be painful. Keeping your jaw open so long is part of what causes the pain. Talk to your dentist, and they will take frequent breaks to allow you to move your jaw and neck. It will help a little.
I have to be numbed for cleanings. I have very sensitive teeth and gums. Always been this way.
U should ask about sedation thats wot i get also the dentist can give u something for the night before to help with the anxiety x
you should see if they will numb you for your cleanings. just tell them how painful it is, and they should. that should make it where it doesnt hurt during the cleanings.
Oh my I thought I was the only person who suffered like this...on top of the fibro pain I have arthritis in my jaw joints so can't even open wide....I have a very patient dentist and hygenist x
