Members responded to someone hoping B12 supplementation might eliminate their need for a walker or cane, with the consensus being that while B12 can boost energy in those with documented deficiencies, it does not typically resolve mechanical mobility issues caused by arthritis or other structural problems. Several members shared their own experiences with B12 injections, noting improvements in energy levels but no significant impact on walking ability or pain, and suggesting alternative investigations like iron deficiency, orthopedic evaluation, or physical therapy. A recurring theme was encouragement to keep problem-solving with medical providers, stay hopeful about finding the right solution, and recognize that mobility challenges often require multifaceted approaches beyond vitamin supplementation alone.

I haven’t been using a cane or walker yet. I’m starting to have trouble walking at times. I get where I stagger and get so
wiggly. I guess the cane is coming. I’ve already had a hip replacement and broke both my wrists. I itch a lot too. It is very annoying too

Your welcome what about an ortho doctor to evaluate....your situation or whatever specialist you need...also...find out if your body can absorb b12 via the stomach mine cannot and I need iv infusions or b12 shots..it will give you an energy boost and make you feel better maybe psychologically..it will help you to walk..so to speak..what about physical therapy
