Does anyone else never feel hungry and could go for a day or two without eating? I usually just eat anyway even if I am never hungry at all or get satisfied from the food I eat. I don't take medication so can't be that causing it.

Members widely connected over experiencing unpredictable appetite loss with fibromyalgia, with many sharing they must force themselves to eat to avoid dizziness, shaking, or dangerous weight loss, particularly during pain flares. Several members suggested practical approaches, including high-calorie nutritional shakes, eating smaller but consistent meals, trying the ketogenic diet, and getting evaluated for gastroparesis, a digestive condition that may explain chronic nausea, bloating, and early satiety. A recurring theme was mutual reassurance that these struggles are not uncommon in the fibromyalgia community, along with gentle encouragement to advocate for testing and find sustainable ways to nourish the body even when hunger signals disappear.

Some days I'm starving and some days I barely eat. I have to force myself those days because if I don't eat I start to shake.

I go through stages but my appetite is always on the lower side and a lot of time i have to force myself to eat. I loose weight in winter when the pain is worse. I think the nausea doesn't help me. I mainly only eat breakfast and dinner. I was on special high calorie shakes a couple winters ago cos I had lost so much weight and had no appetite, im getting better at forcing myself to eat even if im not hungry.

Yes they are all done that way . Sounds like he assumed you knew. It would be worth contacting him about it. When I get a gastroscopy done I always get them to do a colonoscopy while I am under anaesthesia. It beats going through it a second time. Gets both done and out of the way. @A MyFibroTeam Member
