A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi friends, I have been on Lorazepam for at least 5yrs for anxiety and just recently I had to switch doctors because my doctor is leaving. Well I just saw the new doctor yesterday, she was very understanding, she listened to me and very thorough, the only thing is she didn’t like that I have been on Lorazepam for so long, she has now prescribed Buspar with Lorazepam only as needed. Does anyone take Buspar and if so what has your experience been? I appreciate any feedback. Gentle hugs, thank you… read more

@A MyFibroTeam Member, there is now a new medication that is a longer lasting , as I also suffer from hip pain like crazy, and the medication, called Hysingla is 30 milligrams, and through the delayed release, it’s like taking 10 mg. at a time. Swear by this, as it has been over a year since I first took it, haven’t woken up screaming in pain anymore. Check with your doctor about it, ituworth a try. Good luck to you, amd hope this helps you! Soft gentle hugs

@A MyFibroTeam Member....... ask about "Scratching & Picking Disease" or about seeing a dermatologist. S & P Disease is a real disease that causes you to scratch all over because of anxiety.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I agree with you but I have a hard time trying to sum it all up. My pain doctor said that they shouldn't use the name Fibromyalgia as a catch-all phrase. That makes me wonder if she believes in it.

I've tried to teach doctors, even one rhuemthologist, about it and they don't seem to get it. It's not all in our minds--there's something called inflammation they forget about. The meds they put us on have to worsen our memory and cause shakiness because I used to have a great memory. I'm so tired of teaching them, then when one seems to understand, I have to get a new one!

The only thing that seems to cheer me up these days is a wonderful friend who visits me and we do a little Bible study.

Again, I can't seem to tell someone a short answer to our problem. God bless you all! Gentle hugs.

God, my family doctor has left as well. I hate changing doctors after all of these years. Buspar has been around forever. Please be your own advocate for your meds, if you do not like your new doctor then shop until you find one you can tell anything to. That is so important!
