I had botox injections on my neck and shoulder every 3 months for 2 years didn't help. I had relief for about a week after the injection but then the same old pain returned

Aesthetic Botox is injected into the area where you want the muscle temporarily paralyzed to smooth out the wrinkles. I'm not sure what area you wanted Botox injected. I'm positive that the aesthetic Botox dose is stronger and POSSIBLY injected deeper into the muscle. It is NOT usually covered by ins; however, Botox for migraines is a totally different dose and given superficially under skin. Most ins. DOES cover this treatment. Mine was given by neurologist. Be SURE physician is BOARD CERTIFIED. Not sure if I provided answers you need. Let me know if I can be any further help.
