Heat Intolerance
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

This all started years ago but i am really intolerant to heat, it is unusually hot here in Scotland and i just cant function, i lie next to a fan and feel fatigued constantly. I have travelled in my younger days to lots of hot countries and had no issues until the fibro. I was just wondering if anybody else has this issue as it seems its directly linked to fibro now from what ive read. If i drink iced water constantly and use cool pads its not as bad but im having a nightmare.

As Fibro sufferers we are automatically sensitive to heat. Have a read of the boring leaflet of your medication package and it says heat/UV sensitivity.
Fibro and fibromyalgia medication automatically qualifies us for the Summer issues.

Awe sorry of your experience with heat. Me personally can function better but not all are the same. Although ice water may cool you quicker try drinking water not so cold all the time as in the summer we dehydrate and none ice water is absorbed into the body better and drink more often. Just a tip. All the best.🤗

@A MyFibroTeam Member A fan going all night should be fine girl. When it's really hot I have a fan going all night. Seems the white noise helps to calm as well , so double good.
