I FINALLY had my appointment with the rheumatologist after waiting 7 months and she confirmed my fibromyalgia diagnosis but said I am showing signs of lupus and wants to do further testing. I just read that lupus and fibro do coincide. Any ideas on how to wait these 4 weeks for results without losing my sanity?

why are you waiting so long for a simple blood test? should only be 3-4 days tops. I dont understand some drs. waiting 7 months for an appt. i would look somewhere else. I am not trying to be a smartass or crude and i know it has to do with insurance prob. I do hope she gave you something for the pain in the meantime. I dont know how old you are but it can be controlled with medication and it is not fair to you to have to wait that long. thats the trouble with dealing with specialists. I am sorry for the rant but I do feel bad for you having to wait so long and that makes me spaz out.
Not much you can do. Waiting is what we do best....lol...eat healthy, no carbonated drinks stay active.
