It sounds like some form of headache. We fibro sufferers can be more prone to them. But there are better treatments now including botox injections for people who suffer the worst.
There are no pain receptors in the brain. Only muscle and nerves around the skull.
@A MyFibroTeam Member,
No. I haven't. But I sure hope you get this checked out. I just "Searched" the words to your wanting response to. There is a LOT of information on this! PLEASE go see a Professional, ASAP. Thanks.
I have had the pain and it was bad enough to make me stop and grab my head. Thinking back, they may have started after the first concussion, but I had chronic migraines for years before that, so really didn't think anything about it other than it was another aspect of my migraine symptoms. Have been getting botox injections for them for past several months and they are much better. I sometimes still get a lightning bolt, but it only lasts 30 seconds to a few minutes usually. Or the pain accompanying it I mean.🐧
Yes!!! Mine just started the past 6 mos. It is awful! Almost always on the right upper side of my head. Lasts about 90 seconds then stops. Sometimes comes and goes a few times before stopping. My pcp blamed it on my hitting my head and said it was a concussion. We did a ct scan and nothing showed up. Very frustrating snd scary.
