I have to take adderall, which is an amphetamine used for ADHD, in order to have any energy to get thru my day and live as close to normal life as possible. Does anyone take or do something else to deal with overwhelming fatigue?

Members shared strategies for managing overwhelming fatigue in fibromyalgia, with many reporting that fatigue is often worse than the pain itself. Several members described using prescribed stimulant medications like Adderall, Provigil, or Ritalin to get through the day, though effectiveness varied and some noted that vitamin deficiencies (especially D and B12) can worsen fatigue despite medication. A recurring theme was the importance of testing for and addressing vitamin deficiencies, along with practical approaches like walking for energy, drinking an adrenal cocktail (orange juice, sea salt, and cream of tartar), and learning to pace oneself by doing what's possible rather than everything desired.

I also take adderall for narcolepsy. Depending on day it really doesnt do that much. I also have hypothyroidism, vit b12, and d deficiencies. I get a b12 shot and take a vit d 10000units. This entire week I have felt like a slug. I want to do alot but have no energy. What is that provigel for? I have tried coffee, mt dew, energy shots... Now I just do what can. Sometimes I get a big job done and then get all excited for the accomplishment lol

Yes, I take adderral for fatigue. I am good in morning, but after 12:30pm I cannot stay awake. I have been driving and got the feeling I can’t stay awake. Some days adderral works, others I can take it and fall asleep immediately.

How did you manage to get Ritalin? That is a miracle drug for fatigue. They took it away from me over two years ago & I miss it dearly.
