I’ve seen two rheumatologists over the years after I was diagnosed!! I thought maybe they’d have an answer to stop all this pain but the one out and out told me there was nothing he could do for me which I appreciated! The second was supposed to have specialized in fibro but I hated the arrogant jerk and he advised me to do all this stupid stuff which I had tried a lot of it already if he’d read my chart! Anyway, there’s no harm in going, at least it will be confirmed by one more person if you ever need to leave work and need physical proof from doctors!! Good luck!

Rhumatolgist tends to be the one that does the offical dianosis in many casesnor confirmes a GP's dianosis and will then recomend treatment (but not always). Some are usless and of 0 help.

I forgot to mention that the first one I saw did blood work and x-rays everywhere on my body to make sure there was nothing else going on! Then he did the pressure point test after reading all the results and confirmed yes it was fibro and unfortunately nothing he could do for me! He was amazingly thorough and I really liked him! Now I have to go look and see where you’re from in case I can give you his name!

After many years i have found a very empathetic and understanding rheumatologist. He knows how debilitating and painful fibro is.He took 13 viles of blood,the others didnt believe me i dont think.He is so thorough and knowledgable.I would suggest seeing one.
