I'm sure I've asked before..but does anybody get burning pain in upper back which goes to chest when flares hit? I'm sure I do it to myself. I'll be feeling pretty good then do something silly like fertilize the lawn. Who would of thought such a simple task could hurt so bad😆

Members connected over the frustrating experience of burning pain in the upper back and chest during fibromyalgia flares, often triggered by seemingly simple activities like yard work or walking too fast. Several members shared that morning medications commonly cause heartburn, creating a challenging catch-22 where eating beforehand can cause nausea but skipping food leads to burning discomfort. A recurring theme was the need to be mindful of chemical sensitivities that often worsen with fibromyalgia, with advice to wear protective gear when using fertilizers or cleaners and consider organic alternatives when possible.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, just a thought. When we have fibromyalgia we are much more sensitive to.everything, and that includes house hold chemicals such as cleaners, and gardening supplies such as fertilizers and weed killers. If you garden veggies, consider going organic and not using chemicals at all. But if and when you do.use chemicals, wear gloves, a mask, and cover your clothing. I found that I became progressively more allergic to all.kinds of things. I wish I had been warned earlier, but no one knew anything back in the 90s compared to now. Best wishes.❤
