Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing daily pain in their shoulders and neck, with many describing it as a constant, unrelenting part of living with fibromyalgia, arthritis, or related conditions like costochondritis and herniated discs. Several members shared their go-to relief strategies, including alternating heat and ice packs, topical creams (especially hemp and Arnica-based products), cortisone injections every few months, muscle relaxers, cannabis products, TENS units, and even Vicks VapoRub for localized pain. A recurring theme was the frustration of pain that worsens with weather changes, flares triggered by physical stress or poor posture, and the ongoing search for relief methods that provide even temporary comfort in what feels like a never-ending battle.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Yes, I've been getting neck pain since I was in my 30's & many times coupled with a bad headache. I've had shoulder pain for years now too, along with back pain. It all comes & goes as it pleases. I think heat helps, like those microwaveable pads that fit around your neck, and the rectangular microwave heating pads are great for the back. God bless. 😙

Yes, Bursitis in both shoulders, I get Cortisol shots every 4 months, that usually help, well for a few months...I take pain meds. and a muscle relaxer for all my body pain, and an Arnica Montana ( natural pain reliever gel) product called Arnicare from my local dept. store or you can get it at any drug store. and I rub it into my shoulders, elbows, and hands, this also helps when the Cortisol shots wear out. Getting the shots next week, can't wait...it's putting a damper on my sewing time...ha, ha... hope you find some relief.

Yes i have arthritis in both, the constant pain was always there before and after my diagnosis. I tried everything, one pillow or two?, no pillow, sleeping a certain way, adjusted my sitting position etc nothing worked. Its just another constant in the life of a fibro sufferer.

Doctor said, this is one of the fibromyalgia tender points. I use muscle relaxer, and or cannabis oil, I use gummy bears, or cannabis water.
