Writing things down on sticky notes like what you have to do tomorrow, where you parked, what you need to buy,
mark on your calendar your appointments, events. Also telling someone to remind me or call me at least an hour before I'm supposed to meet them. Haha ! It's not only the fibro or the meds but also growing old for memory
loss!
Please don't laugh! I have journals for just about everything! On for when and what I ate. One for physical activity. One for emotions, one for medications, one for event reminders,... I ask people when they send me a card, letter etc to please add and address label to put in my address book so that I don't screw up putting it in my book!
I’m finding that my mental function has improved a little since I stopped Lyrica. I keep a notepad and pen close so that I can make notes for myself. I even forget entire conversations with friends.
I take gabapentin for nerve pain due to damage to vertebrae in my lower spine. I have found that if I take a higher dosage of it( anything above 1 300mg tablet ) messes with my memory. Some of my doctors say it can cause memory loss and some say it doesn't and want me to take higher dosage. There's also the fibrofog thing. Some days my mind won't concentrate on any one thing. So, then it's hard to recall things. Writing things down does help me some.
Thank you everyone I have had it throughout the years really but whenever the flare-ups kind of gets really bad. I do wonder if it's this bad though because I'm on the highest dosage of the Gabapentin? I am actually going to look tonight to see if there's a hypnosis to help with memory loss so I'll let you know if I find any. Gentle hugs to all! Sweet dreams 💖
