Be careful on gabapentin, it can cause weight gain. I gained over 30 lbs while on it and it has taken me 3 years just to lose a portion of it.
I take 900mg a day and it doe's not barely help me at all. I actually take Tylenol PM at night in order to sleep through the pain. I don't know if that's a good thing because I don't care to take them every night making it a bad habit.
I took Gabapetin for a few years, my doctor actually prescribed it for my hot flashes and of course fibro pain. I never really noticed any difference taking it, it never helped with either but took it being a girl girl and taken my meds like I was supposed to. When I went off it I went through some major withdrawals! I even weaned off slowly. I myself would never rake them again but everyone reacts differently with meds.
Gabapentim, Pregabelin, both turned me into a zombie. Fell as sleep during comversations whenever i stopped talking. Never again. Ive stopped arguing with the Lyrica commercials now
