Does anyone else have a problem with most skin care products leaving the skin on your face feeling uncomfortable/burning? I never had a problem with my skin as a teenager but in the last few years I’ve dealt with breakouts and rosacea. I’ve tried so many different samples from skin care boxes looking for one that doesn’t hurt to use or dry my face out terribly. Any suggestions of brands to try you’ve had success with?
I have similar problems! I have to be really careful with any skin care or makeup. I actually make a lot of my skin care products using coconut oil, essential oils, witch hazel, honey etc. I dont know if that is something you would want to try.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I’ve always been a bit sensitive to smells. Strong perfumes or like the cleaning product aisle at stores have always made me lightheaded and queasy. I have noticed lately I seem to be having a stronger reaction to them though. Like almost instant headache and nausea from strong smells. Even smells I used to enjoy, like bonfire smoke. Smells, lights, and sounds, the stronger they are, the worse I feel. :/
My skin has always been super sensitive. I also have multiple allergies to medications and even Tide laundry soap. I always find products without added perfumes or other scents. I just know that the purer the product with as few added things is always the best for me. Hope this helps.
Yes, me too! I never had issues with creams or makeup and I always enjoyed applying cosmetics every day. Now I am using Cetaphil wash on my face and body and cannot use anything with fragrance. I am bare skinned, even fabrics bother me. Are you having any other changes, like with smells, tastes, etc or is it just your face?
You can try Cetaphil and VaniCream or VaniBar recommended by my derm. They are fragrance free for super sensitive skin
I use oil of olay sensitive . I am sensitive too. It is weird at almost 61 to still breakout...ugh,.. like a teenageer, I use a deep blemish scrub in the shower by equate and make sure I wash off make up at night.
