I do read a lot, anything to get my hands on. I have found the following book, that is the best I've found so far. It is a step by step guide, written by a doctor who suffers from FM. Her research and knowledge is very detailed. The book is written in a easy to understand language and process. You can get it at Amazon.
The FibroManual: A Complete Fibromyalgia Treatment Guide for You and Your Doctor Paperback , by Ginevra Liptan (Author)

I go to the Luthern Spine Center and they have no problem diagnosing FM. There are nerve trigger points that are VERY easy to see if someone has fired up nerves. Someone without the condition has no problems in those areas. Trust me, I was so scepticle that it didn't hurt other people when you would squeeze or just touch the inside/ and outside knee, that I squeezed 4 other people's side area by their knees, and it didn't hurt them at all. I was astonished and I about fall to the ground when mine are squeezed. If your docs are not focused on that, go to a specialist that deals with the entire pain (physical, mental and emotional). It will change your life!!!

My gp is brilliant. It depends on the gp.

Having non-supportive partner adds additional stress on you, and its emotionally draining.
If the person loves you truly, they will try to educate themselves about your condition and help you...otherwise....

Yes that would make it hard. You need to set boundaries such as if you are going to speak to me with only negative comments tell him to keep them to himself and not comment at all.
You can also walk away when he speaks to you like that.
Here for you
