I have been reading up on vitamins that help fibro. Just wondering if any one in particular helped you??
I found a great one. Itβs a water based vitamin mix - mix in water in the morning. Itβs made for people with fibro and has higher levels of the vitamins that are believed to help with managing our disease. I was skeptical but after about a week I had better energy and felt better overall. This combined with cymbalta has really changed my pain outlook in the most positive way. Itβs called from fatigued to fantastic - energy revitalization system. I highly recommend trying it for a month. Thereβs also a book by the dr that made this line of supplements and it is really a game changer.
I have berrocca daily.... me but on a slightly better bad day. Don't notice it's affects when i take it as I'm always tired and always sore but I sure notice the difference when I don't have it. Also recently started cod liver oil as it's supposed to help with fibrofog to soon to tell though. There has been a link to lack of magnesium in our foods thanks to gm farming than was present 60+ years ago. What we're supposed to take daily and what is present in foods is night and day and they believe it could be the trigger to many conditions including fibro. It has to be magnesium or magnesium citrate def not magnesium oxide as it doesn't work on our fibro bodies, the oxygen means it doesn't carry far enough into our fibro bodies (or something like that but it's a no- no anyway π). I have ordered some and awaiting it's arrival along with 5htp. Was contemplating cbd but 5htp is just as affective and better on the pocket. Fingers crossed it helps with energy and mood. Frustration with pain and tiredness topped with hot flushes and mood swings makes me one highly strung ticking time bomb...I feel sorry for those on the receiving end... well kind of.. for a couple of..... seconds, like to share my pain. Mwahahaha π
I have to be super careful as everything I say drink or take has to be gluten free. And I have discovered the Now Foods vitamins, minerals, amino acids and such are gluten free! I also have to be careful not to eat drink or take things that can cause constipation! As they effect so much issues that I have
I use Women's one a day, and it gives me enough energy to make it through the day,but be careful, because it makes you feel really good, and you think you can do more then you should. You will pay for it the next morning. So even though you feel like you can do anything, just do what you can normally handle.
I have taken vitamins for a long time, I take a Multi, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B100 (which includes a lot of the Bs; essential for joint health), Vitamin E, and Omega 3,6,9.
I don't find that any, in particular, helped with the Fibro, but for a while, I didn't take the B100 and I noticed that my joints seemed to take longer to ease in the morning.
I take vitamin D and magnesium citrate as both were very low according to my blood tests. Magnesium is really helpful in relieving muscles spasms. My vitamin B's are fine so no need to take vitamins B I don't need. Take enough pills as it is. I try to get as many vitamins I can through my food as I have no problem eating. π
I forgot to say that my doctor put me on ranitidine and it helps with my acid reflux. Canβt eat lying down.
I have acid reflex which occurs fairly frequently. I know when itβs coming on as itβs so painful and feels like I have 2 throats. The episode lasts until I bring up at least 1/4 to 1/3 glass of phlegm.
The Fibromyalgia Treatment Center has three supplements two for day time and a also formula! Called Fibro Sleep
They can do blood test to check several of these
