I recently was diagnose with severe fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I’m considering filing for disability since my health has completely affected my ability to perform my job. Any pointers on filing? I’m only 31 so wasnt sure if the process was more difficult because of my age.

Thank you so much for the information. I wonder if stating my other medical conditions will help my case. Like Bipolar, IBS, Chronic Migraines ?

In my experience it may be. But I faced this with my best friend & made sure yo stress EVERYWAY it affected him & it came through much easier. The more details you give, the better chance you have has been my experience.

I have filed and was denied twice and had to get a lawyer to represent me for an appeal. I found a lawyer who will not get paid unless I win my case. I went in front of the judge on the 15th of May, she asked alot of questions to get a feel for how I am affected. The 1 main thing the look at is time missed from work. It states you should have been out of work for a year. But if you missed a lot of time out on disability or sick leave that will be counted. Those are the main things I can think of right now. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
