My rhumatologist is having me try Celebrex for my fibro symptoms. I have tried many different types of medicines before but they have caused extreme side effects and no relief, this includes Lyrica and Cymbalta. I was wondering if anyone has been on Celebrex and what their experiences with it have been, has it worked? What side effects did you experience, if any at all?

Celebrex is prescribed mostly as a last resort for serious pain and should at all times be administered with food as it may cause harm to the stomach lining. I had it prescribed for severe back pain, but after taking them for a week, I felt no change in pain and had to schedule a new doctor's appointment

Been on celecobix going on 6 months now and 0 side effects from it Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body or that is what it is supose to do. I cant say that it helps the pain long term but i know it helps for immediate short term relief of a hour or so.

Yes but after 6 months it affected my liver.. it's not a long term option. Try turmeric. It's a great anti-inflammatory. See my bio for more info
