Has anyone had prolonged foot pain in the pads of their feet by the toes(mainly smaller toes) with reoccurring bruising of the foot? I'm at a loss. This keeps happening and I haven't done anything to injure my foot. I got an xray last month because of this to see if i had a fracture but i didn't. Just wanted to see if this was a common fibro thing.

I have pain n my big toes when the covers lie on them, this not an every nite afair, come and goes with weather changes.
@A MyFibroTeam Member The foot pain is new to me this year I guess that's why it kills so bad. Ive gotten used to the other pains and usually just grind through it but it seems like when the foot pain stadts it takes me down I just can't move or im like crawling around by the ends of the day( sorry I guess that was a long way of saying its new and i havent really got to dig into it and find a right meds). So I originally started with cortisone shots didn't help than went onto Lyrica which i recall it working a bit but i had paralizing dreams where i would become aware i was dreaming but couldnt do anything about it ans it turned into horrible nightmares ans ptsd syndrome so i had to stop that, than my new DR ttied me on Amitriptyline which did nothing so we upped doses twice now I'm trying Cymbolta( I think I spelt that wrong). I'm sorry I'm not super helpful when it comes to taking meds because we are still jist trying to find anything that brings any relief.
@A MyFibroTeam Member. Hi. I get that same kinda feeling in my feet. The padding by the small toes. Mine is in both feet more my right foot. It just throbs. They mainly start to hurt when I have been on them too long. But also I've noticed when it's gonna rain. I was told it was plantar fasciitis. But I had plantar fasciitis and this is completely different hurting feeling. Plantar fasciitis was near my heel and went away and after 2 cortisone shots I've not had problems with that. So I Believe it is fibro, arthritis, cause it seems to bother me like my fibro does. Hugs and Prayers
Hmm I didn't know that! Thank you. Yeah it doesnt matter how much potassium I get I'm like a broken banana. Lol Hopefully it is something as easy as plantar fasitis for you. I hear its pretty common and usually doesn't take too much more than a cortisone shot or pt to help( I hope that wasn't too presumptuous as I don't know what all treatments you have to take and hopefully it wouldn't be bad for you). Just wishing the easiest fix for you.
thanks and yes plantar fascitis is my thought too. Regarding the bruising: I have started to bruise easily too over the last few years with my fibro. The more I read, I am finding that this is common with fibro folks. I can't remember now the reason, but it has to do with the fibro issue, healing slowly, nerves, etc. I think.
