Hi beautiful warriors!! It's been a while since I've been on here, the suffering has been horrendous. And now I have developed tinnitus. A loud high pitched screaming in my ears 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It never goes away. Pair it with migraines and there is no words to describe the pain. I'll never experience quiet again.

Anyone else dealing with this? How are you getting relief besides earbuds listening to rain and thunder really loud.

Members connected over the relentless challenge of tinnitus paired with fibromyalgia and migraines, with many describing a high-pitched ringing or screech that never fully goes away. Several members shared practical relief strategies including white noise machines, soft foam or silicone earplugs, Lipo Flavanoid Plus supplements (which contain B vitamins), ocean wave apps, and magnesium citrate for both migraines and symptom management. A recurring theme was the importance of trial and error to find what works best for each person, whether that's pressure point massage, managing medication side effects like those from Cymbalta, or simply creating a soothing sleep environment that helps the brain refocus away from the noise.

I too have this. The high pitch "scream" or as I call it,"Screech" is only on the left side. I saw a hearing Dr and found I have minimal hearing loss- and tinnitus is not actually a hearing issue. It is a nerve in our brains interpreting a pain signal form somewhere else (and worse, it could be from trauma, injury, or ???? LONG ago!). This is how our brains can respond to all the things life - and fibro- throws at us. I was advised to use a sound machine and turn the volume up until I cannot hear the noise in my ears/head. Unfortunately, when I do this I cannot sleep at all! Yea life.
I think I will try the silicone/ceramic ear plugs AmyArens uses. It is certainly worth a try!

My pharmacist said 1 in 500 suffer tinnitus from Cymbalta (Duloxetine) so when I'm stressed, I have it bad. I put sponge ear plugs in my ears at night and listen to ocean waves or something to ease my stress (which can be a lot). God bless you all! Gentle hugs

I use ultra soft silicone eat plugs that have a small ,piece of ceramic in them and are what my dad nose and throat specialist told me to get. As they all designed to sleep wearing and can be sterilized each morning. I have extremely sensitive ears since the first time my ear drums ruptured. I use peroxide in my ears once a week, and don't swim without eat plugs designed to keep the water out.

I use the generic orange ear plugs from CVS. They are the soft foam kind. The regular version would cause external skin damage in the ear yielding a crust. Switching to the soft foam ear plugs helped. Yeah, like everyone else I need them to sleep. Best thing is also to find the best sleep parameters for you. Temperature, position, avoiding tech at night, warm drinks such as magnesium citrate or warm milk.

I was going to try RingStop, but never tries as I feared med interaction but might help. Problem I hear from everyone is that if you stop RingStop you can feal worse.

It honestly took me years to get semi adjusted to it. Everyone is different.

A common problem of mine, probably due to ear plugs and overall situation is itching in the ear. I only found three things that help with that. Anti itch cream (semi success), anti fungal cream (better success), or hydrogen peroxide to clean out my ears and alleviate itching.
