Fibro brings lots of attachments and tinnitus is one of them. Some days I hear it very loud.

Do you have tinnitus? And do you use anything to make better????

Members opened up about living with tinnitus related to fibromyalgia, with many describing a constant ringing, buzzing, or high-pitched noise that varies in intensity and can worsen with barometric changes, loud sounds, or certain foods and medications. Several members shared practical strategies that brought relief, including using hearing aids (which one member said eliminated their ringing entirely by compensating for nerve damage), running white noise machines or fans at bedtime, wearing Bluetooth headsets connected to the TV, getting trigger point injections in the neck, and trying supplements like Lipoflavinoid, though results varied widely. A recurring theme was learning to cope by staying busy, avoiding loud environments, seeking care from ENT specialists or audiologists, and accepting that while there may be no cure, small adjustments like background noise, stretching exercises, and reducing caffeine or sodium can make daily life more manageable.

I also have tinnitis. Having worked for ear docs I have learned there is nothing that can be done for it. I leave a fan running at night which helps drown out the sound.

For those of you who asked about Tinnitus!! I was a support group leader for the American Tinnitus Assoc for 13 years and we heard all kinds of stories. Although I didn't have anyone come to me with that question, I'd say that it certainly is possible to have Tinnitus along with Fibro. Although Tinnitus is supposed to come from the damage of the tiny hairs in the inner ear, I heard stories of all kinds and, to my knowledge, there is no cure for it. I've had it myself for over 30 years and it's very bothersome at times and other times, the noise around me will mask it out. That's about it in a nutshell!!!!

Ringing in the ears is a pain I find if you take one finger and pull your ear lob in and hold it it goes away.

I get it too, but loud noise and music, tend to bother me. And also when a lot of people are talking at the same time.

Yes I have ringing in my ears. They are ringing while I'm sitting here doing this and watching tv. Sometimes it reminds me of cicadas making noise on a summer night. Only its in my eats and it won't stop. And it drives me crazy. We sleep with a pedastal fan on all year long to drown out outside noises but it doesn't help with the ear noise because it's in my head!!!!
