Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing both balance problems and memory loss, with many describing the profound impact on daily life, including frequent falls, use of walkers or scooters, and cognitive struggles that range from forgetting conversations to losing track of cooking or directions. Several members shared practical coping strategies like writing everything down, setting phone reminders and alarms, attending physical therapy, and using mobility aids, while one member noted that chronic pain itself can impair concentration and memory by constantly demanding the brain's focus. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of these symptoms, including frustration with family members who don't understand, feelings of appearing 'dumb,' and the challenge of explaining that memory lapses are not intentional but a real part of living with their condition.

Yes I have both. I am now going to physical therapy for balance and fibryomyalgia. I have severe memory loss too. It started before I was on medication so not medication related. I forget places I have been, conversations I have had, names of objects, where I am going, remembering I am cooking, how to get home.... The list goes on and on.

Yes..I have memory loss..a lot..besides the Cognitive problems caused by Fibro..a doctor told me once,,when your in a lot of pain..throughout the day..the brain tends to focus on that firstly..and that is why its hard to concentrate..on things that we are doing...,I tend to agree with that.., but there are real Cognitive dysfunctions going on as well caused by having Fibro..
