Does Anyone Experience A Back Ache When Wearing A Bra?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get pain right at the bra line when wearing a bra it seems to get better if I don't wear one at all. I've tried every kind of bra out there. The pain also seem's to move from my bra line to my lower back. Anyone experience pain that moves from one spot to another? I did happen to find out I had some worn discs in that area of my spine but continue to get told It's due too fibro.

Bras cause me pain as well, especially around my ribs. If my pain is really bad, a bra causes it to radiate down my back and sides. I recently bought a tunic camisole that has a built in bra shelf. For me, it's much more comfortable. I ended up buying 2 more and plan to buy more over time. I usually wear the shirts by themselves but I also wear them under other shirts as a replacement for a regular bra. I'm very small chested so I don't need the support of a bra. I just want to, well, keep my nipples from showing (sorry if too much info). The bra shelf does that well.

I take my bra off as soon as I walk in the door. I don't think it causes more back pain but it is just uncomfortable. I found a bra that is really comfortable (for a bra). Its from lane Bryant. Its cacique no wire balconette bra. Look on lane Bryant site to see if it comes in your size. Its a plus size store but they have some smaller sizes. They run bogo sales too since they are about $35 but worth every penny.

If I ditched my bra I would probably be arrested! Lol! But like @A MyFibroTeam Member, mine comes off the minute I walk in the door.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. Get some rubber gloves for your husband to wear to put medicine on your back. I wear them too so I don't rub my eyes with medicine that will burn them. I learned the hard way. Lol

That’s so crazy - I just had an echo this weekend and everybody looked at me like I was crazy when I said it hurt so badly. So comforting in a way to hear other people’s stories. Makes me feel less crazy
