Weakness
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having to drink gatorade and eat six small meals during the day to keep my energy up, otherwise i feel weak. Is this part of fibro? I've also been diving in blood pressure and fainted once (woke up on the floor). From time to time, i have to take a larger breath. My family doctor is sending me to a cardiologist, so I guess it could be something with my heart, but I was wondering if some of my symptoms could be from the fibro. I have no clue since I'm new to the whole fibro scene. Does anyone… read more

So sorry you are having this complication; fainting is scary, especially when you don't know what is going on. Check with your doctor, of course, to evaluate whether you could be having any dysautonomic symptoms (i.e. orthostatic hypotension causing the fainting, weakness, even shortness of breath), There may be some medications they can give to help treat that? Unfortunately, it seems there can be a correlation between fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions and dysautonomia (or dysregulation of the automatic nervous system). Hope you can get some answers, and feel better.

Yeah, @A MyFibroTeam Member, naps don't always work for me, either. Sometimes it's almost like taking two steps back in progress for the day.

There's been times when I feel like I'm going to pass out, but I usually catch myself in time to excuse myself until I get myself together enough to continue. I've noticed I get some heart palpitations at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. Eating more and drinking sugary drinks is not the answer for me personally, lol. It just seems to make me slower.
