Members shared deeply relatable experiences of severe muscle weakness and fatigue that makes everyday tasks like putting hair in a ponytail, walking short distances, or washing dishes feel exhausting or even impossible. Several members described needing frequent breaks during simple activities, feeling out of breath after minimal exertion, and experiencing pain so intense that even scratching an itch or riding in a car becomes unbearable. A recurring theme was the fear and frustration of watching symptoms worsen over time, the challenge of others not understanding the severity of the condition, and the need to find treatments that address the root cause rather than relying solely on temporary aids like braces or slings.

Janlee61, I have often feel this way. I shy away from crowds for this reason. My older sister just doesn't understand. She wanted to take me to Las Vegas for my birthday. I couldn't go, if the crowds wasn't even a good fit. Riding in a car is very painful. I wear an arm brace, a sling & a foam pillow. This is to prevent any jarring of my arms. Some days I feel like I've been a war.

Me, too. I take breaks to wash my hair (like 5). I can only put away maybe 2 dishes before my arms are tired. I can't do anything. I have severe muscle fatigue and weakness. Stairs are nearly impossible. Repetitive motion is the worst.
