Members responded to a question about sleep seizures while taking Cymbalta, with experiences varying widely from no issues at all even after years of use to severe reactions including non-stop seizures, restless legs, and dystonic crisis triggered by SSRI medications. Several members shared alternative approaches they found helpful, including medical marijuana, CBD oil, gabapentin, Ativan for sleep, and working closely with doctors to adjust or discontinue medications causing problematic side effects. A recurring theme was the importance of reporting seizures to medical providers immediately, recognizing that fibromyalgia medications affect everyone differently, and being patient while finding the right treatment combination for individual needs.

Hi Val, I take cymbalta60 mg 2 x's a day. I have just gotten my medical marijuana card. I have been told that the regular cbd oil is what I need for the fibro pain. I'm just wondering what you take and if it helps you.
Thanks xoxo

@A MyFibroTeam Member I took cymbalta to many side effects from all the drugs they offered me for the last 11 years. I take medicinal marijuana no side effects. I would speak to your doctor and maybe try something else. I also take Ativan at bedtime do I can sleep 6 hours at least.

Absolutely. Doctors need more education and awareness on this during med school.

@A MyFibroTeam Member hello and Happy 🐣 I smoke marijuana and I take Percocet only on my really bad days as I hate the side effects. I also take an Ativan at bedtime to sleep. I have a digestive problem for the last year now going for my second MRI this April. I use to drink a jug of water a day now lucky if I get 2 glasses a day. I have no appetite whatsoever. I have lost about 10lbs. Soon I will be 100 pounds soaking wet 😂I haven’t been that since Inwasnin my 20’s. I hear great things about CBD oil especially for seizures. I tried it and unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I would try it as you have nothing to loose maybe try a bit with THC low dosage. It takes time like everything else so be patient and write down your dosage everyday in a book until you find the right dosage for YOU as we’re all different like snowflakes ❄️. Keep me posted and wish you all the best!😊
