I've dealt with other fibromyalsia symptoms but this is a new one on me. I started back to work 3 weeks ago and being on my feet 10 and 12 hours time I get home my feet are literally on fire and stinging. Gets worse if I lay down. I've tried just about every thing to try to reduce so much pain it's causing plus a lack of no sleep. Any suggestions

Members rallied around someone experiencing new burning and stinging foot pain after long work shifts, with many sharing that they had faced the same fiery sensation for years and found it especially intense after getting off their feet or lying down. Several members recommended practical strategies that brought them relief, including compression stockings, well-cushioned sneakers with custom orthotics from a skilled podiatrist, soaking feet in ice-cold water, peppermint lotion, Epsom salt foot baths, and medications like Cymbalta, gabapentin, or CBD oil. A recurring theme was the importance of sitting whenever possible, keeping feet moisturized, and consulting a doctor to rule out neuropathy or other underlying causes, with members emphasizing empathy for how exhausting and isolating this symptom can feel.

I’m new to this site, newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and I’ve suffered from this same chronic hot feet sensation for years. Thought I was the only one in the world! And could never explain the sensation to anyone other than hot painful feet! The only remedy I found was my husband massaging with cold lotion.

Ive had this for years. What helps me besides trying not to stand for too long is always wearing good walking/running sneakers with good cushioning tied tight against the bottom of my feet (nothing loose flip flops are deadly) and custom orthotics from a great sports podiatrist. Took about 5 podiatrists before finding this one. Good luck!

I work as a nurse at 12 hour shifts. Many times I would come home and my feet were on fire. The worst time they ever were for me however was at night. They would feel so hot Ive literally put my feet in the sink with ice water or gone outside barefoot in the snow. I was on lyrica and that did not help that symptom.
I have not had the problem now for a long time. The only changes I have made are that I wear compression stockings at work all the time and I keep my feet moisturized. I dont know if its all a coincidence, but Im not willing to stop to find out. The burning was driving me crazy.
