Just wondering what the average dose of cymbalta is that everyone is talking? Mine is 90mg and my PCP said it's to high, well it works for me. Thanks πŸ’œ

Members shared their Cymbalta dosages in response to someone asking about the typical dose, with most taking between 60 and 120 mg daily, some combining it with medications like Lyrica, Tramadol, or muscle relaxers, and a few noting they stopped taking it due to weight gain, lethargy, or depression. Several members emphasized that individual response varies widely, encouraging the original poster to advocate for the dose that works best for them, whether that means staying at 90 mg or adjusting based on their own experience rather than a general guideline. A recurring theme was curiosity about what else helps with fibromyalgia pain, with members mentioning supplements, medical marijuana, lidocaine infusions, and over the counter options like ibuprofen as part of their broader pain management strategies.

My doctor increased cymbalta to 120mg/d (from 60) after reading its the best dose for pain according to new research he read. Happy to say "all over" pain and stiffness is down from a steady 8 to 7 half the days in the last month! Yay! Any progress is progress! :) I cant say if Cymbalta is the reason for this bit of improvement, as it was not the only med change at the time. (Pregabalin was increased and lidocaine infusion was stronger dose in Feb). I appreciate my doctor keeping informed for me and I am thankful for all research being done to figure out fibro for all of us. Im going to stick with the higher dose for now and see what the future holds.
