Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia, with many reporting side effects including nausea, weight gain, fatigue, memory issues, and sexual side effects, though some found it effective for pain relief despite these challenges. Several members offered practical advice such as starting with a low dose, allowing time for the body to adjust, weaning off gradually if needed, and exploring alternatives like Cymbalta, Savella, or holistic approaches including diet, exercise, massage, and stress reduction. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia treatment is highly individual, with members emphasizing the importance of finding what works for your own body and working closely with your doctor to balance pain management with quality of life.

Good luck with that. I found my fatigue far worse on it.

I don't take Lyrica or any other medication. I work with doctors who are open to holistic medicine. I recently went to see a holistic doctor who specializes in live blood cells. I am presently on a cleanse, and eat only food on tge list she gave me. I love green juice. Sorry that I could not help with Lyrica but there are other alternatives out there. Keep looking. Hope you feel better soon. Sending gentle hugs. Xoxo

I just had 3 days of mostly no pain, mental awareness and a general good mood. It was heaven in an otherwise forgettable 5 yrs. I look foward to having many more and hope this is a sign of a remission impending

I have taken lyrica from almost two years and the only side effect I have experienced is weight gain. I'm not too happy about but I am able to function with it! I can also do something about the weight gain like diet and exercise so there's no need to trip! I gradually started on a lower doseage but now taking a moderate dose! Because of it, I experience less pain and flares, but know medications have different reactions in each of us. Try to find what works for you! No one Fibro patient is the same...take care yourself! Hopefully, you will find something that will work for you soon!

Exactly I'm having the same experience. I plan on switching at my next Drs appointment.
