Mine has gotten so bad lately that I can't focus, even when I'm at work. I am so worried that my boss is going to see me having an anxiety attack and notice that it's not just me being short of breath. I was in a meeting this last week and just kept telling everybody I just have a little bit of shortness of breath and mild chest pain nothing major... Members widely validated the experience of heightened winter anxiety, with several sharing that shorter days, cold temperatures, and reduced social contact can intensify symptoms, while others noted that allergies and temperature sensitivities can also be triggers. Many community members described practical strategies that have helped them manage anxiety, including medications like Cymbalta and prazosin for sleep and nightmares, natural supplements such as 5-HTP to support serotonin levels, and general self-care practices like staying warm or cool and seeking medical guidance for better sleep. A recurring theme was the importance of being gentle with oneself during difficult months, acknowledging when anxiety disrupts daily life, and leaning on both medical support and personal resilience to work through it.

I was suffering from depression and anxiety didn’t know why? I’m treating my Fibromyalgia naturally and did some research and started taking 5-HTP. It’s an amino acid that helps elevate your serotonin levels, so you’re body is better equipped to deal with situations that lead to depression and anxiety and a natural sleeping aid as well.

If you have allergies then different seasons can affect your anxiety. If you react to cold or hot temps the same. So yes, they can bring on anxiety. Try to protect yourself by staying warm, or cool, or taking something that will help allergies if you have them. Also try getting something from your doctor that will help you get more sleep. I will be praying for you.

Try Cymbalta, an antidepressant that also treats anxiety and helps relieve some fibromyalgia symptoms. I had bad anxiety and now it’s basically gone.
