I call myself the Human Barometer. I've known that barometric pressure has something to do with fibro for a long time! Sometimes I am more accurate than the weather folks!
I can tell when a front is moving in and i know several days before it rains. My family looks to me when we make plans several days in advance. If I'm hurting bad we stay indoors, lol
Lol, I know it sounds obvious to us experiencing it, but the article points out that until recently the studies had proved inconclusive. The article suggests that the reason the previous studies were inconclusive was that they used overly small patient sampling.
The other reason I posted this is to provide more data (if needed) in an appointment for treatment. I recently met with a doctor who has been a strong advocate for me and he too cited the lack of studies versus the abundance of experience so this may help support better recommendations for our care.

My fibro doc told me that the low barometric pressure allows your joints to swell which is when arthritis is at it's worst. The worst is when a weather front moves through even though it may not be actively raining.
Running a dehumidifier in the summertime has helped my breathing.
