Members validated the frustrating experience of breaking out in random hives while doing nothing, with many sharing that they too experience unexplained itching and hives on various parts of their body, sometimes even waking them at night. Several members identified potential triggers including stress, specific medications like Voltaren gel, steroids, past shingles infections, and fibromyalgia itself, with some finding relief through daily antihistamines or keeping a food diary to track allergic reactions. A recurring theme was the unpredictability and persistence of these symptoms, with members offering encouragement and practical tracking methods to help identify patterns and potential causes.

I have a lot of allergies. When hives happen , write down what you have ate that day. After the 3rd time you will probably see a food you have eaten on the 3 occasions . Its a slow progress but it lets you know what to avoid. Good luck.

Couple of years ago I broke out in hives I got told it was allergie, I was really bad when I told the consultant who I had seen about the rash.
I explained I broke out with shingles a couple of months ago.
He came to the conclusion it was the shingles that cause the allergie.
