Members responded to a question about extreme all-over body itching by encouraging the original poster to rule out other causes like allergies or liver issues first, while acknowledging that itching, sometimes called "itchy blood," can indeed be a fibromyalgia symptom. Several members shared medications that have helped them manage itching, including gabapentin, Lyrica, antihistamines like Benadryl and Claritin, and hydroxyzine, with many noting that staying well-hydrated throughout the day can also provide relief. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and frustrating nature of fibromyalgia-related itching, ranging from localized spots to full-body sensations and hives, with members emphasizing the importance of working with a doctor to identify triggers and find the right treatment approach.

I get it a lot, I'm on Tramadol & Gabapentine and I think these drugs are the cause so started taking antihistamine tablets and it seems to have eased it.

Have your Dr. do a liver enzyme test. I had this a few years ago and my enzymes were off the chart. That is the main symptom.

Yes, mostly at night. I take hydroxyzine also called atarax. It mostly helps, but I have also learned to stay hydrated, so I try to drink lots of water thru out the day and evening.
