I've been on cyclobenzaprine 10mg at night for 3+ years now and it doesn't seem to help me anymore.

Members shared their experiences with various muscle relaxers for fibromyalgia, with the most commonly mentioned being Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) and Zanaflex (tizanidine), often taken at bedtime to help with sleep and muscle pain. Several members described adjusting their doses to find what works best, with some taking half the prescribed amount, while others noted that certain medications like tizanidine can cause grogginess or make mornings difficult. A recurring theme was that muscle relaxers often lose effectiveness over time, leading members to switch medications, and that managing fibromyalgia frequently means balancing the need for relief with concerns about adding more prescriptions to an already lengthy medication list.

Tizanadine 2mg at bedtime as needed. Dr. Prescribed 4mg but I find half is enough. Brand name is Zanaflex.

I take @Zanaflex 4mg twice a day. It's seems to work better than @Flexeril for me. It helps me sleep but if you need one early in the morning like I do, it can make you feel like crap.

I have a prescription for Flexerill, but I rarely take it. I have So Much Trouble getting up in the morning, even taking it at 8pm and 1/2 dose of 2.5 mg.

@A MyFibroTeam Member no I don't take muscle relaxers. I'm on so many prescriptions now that I don't want to add anymore to my list. It will be interesting to see those who do?
