Members resonated strongly with the question about experiencing dizziness, tingling, and itchiness before a flare, with many relieved to know these strange sensations are shared by others in the community. Several members described electric shock-like nerve pain, intense itching all over the body, vertigo, nausea, and an overall off-balance feeling as common experiences tied to their fibromyalgia. A recurring theme was finding some relief through Gabapentin, with a few asking about Lyrica as an alternative, alongside gentle encouragement to keep moving and lean on the community for support.

YES! I get this and the electric shock nerve pain and “itchy feeling”. It has gotten so bad over the past few years (I am 44 and was diagnosed in my early 20’s) that I was convinced that I also have MS. (Of course everything checked out normal there ... even though I DO share a lot of the symptoms)

I take 2700 mg of Gabapentin a day now. It helps take the edge off

I think it is just one of those things you have to learn to live with. We are all in this together :-)
