YES! I get this and the electric shock nerve pain and “itchy feeling”. It has gotten so bad over the past few years (I am 44 and was diagnosed in my early 20’s) that I was convinced that I also have MS. (Of course everything checked out normal there ... even though I DO share a lot of the symptoms)

I take 2700 mg of Gabapentin a day now. It helps take the edge off

I think it is just one of those things you have to learn to live with. We are all in this together :-)

Yes! I get electric shocks that hurt terribly and itch intensely afterwards.

So sorry, because I know how difficult dizziness is to deal with. I have read that dizziness can be a symptom of fibro, as well as feelings of numbness and tingling. I have had chronic dizziness and fibro symptoms since an early age, which have grown worse over the years, and I myself wonder if it is all part of the fibro, or whether it is different conditions. Hopefully those who do have it only get it with a flare, which is bad enough! It is interesting to note that, although they don't know the cause of fibro, it is considered a central nervous system sensitization, so theoretically maybe all these additional symptoms are possible. In that light, I have also been diagnosed with dysautonomia and neuropathy (by EMG), so, as fibro is common with other conditions, have to wonder whether it is all part of the same spectrum and interrelated. My neurologist actually told me that what many people feel is fibro pain may actually be neuropathic pain - may be the reason that meds like gapapentin and Lyrica work so wel. Same thing with acid reflux - different condition or related?, if any of you suffer with that. I have read that GERD is also common with fibro.

I am new here to the forum today, so am kind of just jumping in, as all of your posts are very helpful and easy to relate to! I'm sure I will gain a lot of knowledge and support from all of you, and wish you all better days-

Would really appreciate any further input from others who have chronic dizziness and/or acid reflux/stomach issues in addition to their fibro - very curious. I think (at least I do), tend to blame everything on the fibro; probably not a good habit to get into, and they always advise to run any new symptoms such as the dizziness by your doctor.
