My doctor just put me on 10 mg Percocet three times a day. These pills make me so sleepy and tired. Does anyone else have this problem as well? How do you deal with being so sleepy? And over time does it get better the longer I take the Percocet?

I couldn't take the pills because they made me feel high and I had two children to take care of. It took me three pain management Drs before I found the right one and he put me on a patch it doesn't make me sleepy or feel high ask your Dr about it. Good luck! ((Gentle Hugs))
Try Norco.. it’s a mix of hydrocodone and Tylenol.. if your doctor will go there .. I take 7.5/325 .. dose usually does fine for me .. I’m allowed two at a time if needed but I try and stick to 1 every 6 hours and longer if I can go longer in between .. I usually take two at night w a trazodone for pain / sleep .. it doesn’t always work.. trazodone .. I am flexible w amount I can take of that and depends on how bad I hurt.. start with a half pill or whole first time or two.. take two if it’s really bad .. it made me so tired one night. I fell asleep on toilet .. hope this helps ..
I've been on Pecocet for the past 3 yrs. It's never made me sleepy. It affects everyone differently.
I have been on hydrocodone, which is similar for about a year and a half now. It did make me feel very sleepy for awhile. I have found that many of the side effects from these and other meds wears off with time, but so does the positive effects also. Give it some time, if you can. I am switching to a pain patch that is 24 hours and I hear from many people that it works very well for fibromyalgia pain. Any new medication, give your body time to adjust before you give up on it. Hope everything goes well for you and your pain is better controlled. :) Hugs ♡ ♡ ♡ Shilo
I too am on Percocet. It does not make me sleepy, it actually gives me energy.
